Amarillo Botanical Gardens Hosting 1,000 Jack-O’-Lanterns

Now that fall is officially upon us in Amarillo, that means it’s spooky season. This is the time of year when Halloween and fall decorations go up all over houses and businesses.  It’s also the time when kids start picking out their Halloween costumes in anticipation of trick-or-treating.

One part of the fall season and Halloween is carving the scariest, silliest, or most creative jack-o’-lantern. It’s amazing to see just how creative people get with their pumpkins.

The Amarillo Botanical Gardens is hosting a new event this year that brings out good ol’ Jack. It’s the chance to step into a world where the pumpkins come to life.

What is Amarillo’s Trail of 1,000 Jack-O’-Lanterns?

This event will feature over 1,000 hand-carved jack-o’-lanterns, giant sculptures, a trio of singing pumpkins, plus a giant butterfly. This is something Amarillo hasn’t had a chance to experience.  Major cities like Houston and their Pumpkins After Dark event have great pumpkin displays, but this will be the first for the Yellow City.

When is the Trail of 1,000 Jack-O’-Lanterns in Amarillo?
