Pottstown man admits to gun and drug charges

NORRISTOWN — Just weeks after a jury convicted him of charges related to illegal gun transfers, a Pottstown man admitted to additional charges that he had illegally carried guns and trafficked drugs in the borough during separate incidents.

Desmond Tyon Bennett, 33, of the 200 block of King Street, pleaded guilty in Montgomery County Court to charges of carrying a firearm without a license and possession with intent to deliver controlled substances, including fentanyl, in connection with incidents that occurred in February and March 2024.
