SUN: Baltimore Police fleet vehicles involved in more than 600 crashes since 2024

Baltimore police vehicles have been involved in 623 crashes in the city since January 2024, with the number of collisions continuing to rise in 2025, according to data released by the Baltimore Police Department.

Between January and August 2025, the department recorded 269 crashes involving police vehicles, including patrol vehicles, crime scene unit vehicles and other fleet vehicles, compared with 229 during the same period last year, an increase of more than 17%.

May saw the most police-involved crashes since 2024, with the department recording 45 collisions. Last year, no month exceeded 34 collisions…
