NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — An investigation is underway after a Charleston County worker discovered a body in the woods near Trident Technical College.
Officers responded to the 2000 block of Mabeline Drive shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday and met with a 29-year-old “tree warden” who told them he had been looking for a specific plant in the woods when he found the body, according to a report from the North Charleston Police Department.

The report states it was “apparent the person had been deceased for quite some time.”
