(KRON) — A driver stopped for speeding in Petaluma on Monday led deputies to discover more than a pound of narcotics in the vehicle, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver was pulled over around 7:32 p.m. at the intersection of North McDowell Boulevard and Old Redwood Highway. During the stop, K-9 Duke alerted to the presence of narcotics in the car, the sheriff’s office said.
A search of the car uncovered more than a pound of suspected methamphetamine, heroin and drug paraphernalia, according to authorities.
