‘They just kept driving’: Homeless man hit by car on I-55 ramp, left on ground as driver fled

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A St. Louis man experiencing homelessness says he’s lucky to be alive after being hit by a car on the I-55 southbound Arsenal exit ramp — and watching as the driver backed up and sped away.

“That’s the first time I’ve ever seen it. I thought there was a car beside me in the turning lane so he was trying to miss it… But this does show like he purposely hit me,” Nick said.

Surveillance video shows the moment Nick and his dog, Lucy, were hit by a red car. Moments later, the car backs up and takes off…
