A new practice, McKenzie Medical Group, will open Nov. 1 at McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center, providing obstetrics and gynecology services.
Through the hiring of two new doctors who can deliver babies, the practice expands the hospital’s capacity at its existing unit for women’s care and delivery, an announcement said Tuesday.
The hospital told Lookout Eugene-Springfield it has been weighing its options for labor and delivery care since July, when Oregon Medical Group announced it was closing its OB-GYN department in November.
