BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The Birmingham Police Department announced Wednesday it made two arrests in connection to a shooting that occurred in September.
Markel Berry, 19, and Marlik Berry, 21, were arrested by the BPD Crime Reduction Team on the charges of attempted murder, discharging a firearm into an unoccupied vehicle and discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling. According to the BPD, the shooting happened in the 2200 block of Bessemer Road on Sept. 11.
