Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Unveils Star-Studded Lineup for 2025 Induction Ceremony
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has revealed a dynamic roster of performers and presenters set to grace its 2025 induction ceremony, featuring a mix of modern chart-toppers and enduring legends. The announcement includes contemporary artists like Doja Cat and Olivia Rodrigo, alongside iconic figures such as Elton John and Iggy Pop.
One name that has garnered particular attention is veteran television personality David Letterman. Despite stepping away from late-night programming a decade ago, Letterman holds strong ties to the rock ‘n’ roll community, having provided an early platform for influential bands like R.E.M., Weezer, and The White Stripes. While not the first TV personality to participate—Ryan Seacrest and Carrie Keagan have preceded him—Letterman’s presence adds an intriguing element to the evening.
The institution, in its customary fashion, did not differentiate between performers and presenters for the event. Other notable figures slated to appear include Missy Elliot, Flea, Brandi Carlile, Killer Mike, Beck, and Questlove.
These announcements build upon the inductees previously rolled out on April 28. Among those set to be honored in the performer category are Chubby Checker, who launched his career with “The Twist” in 1960, and hip-hop pioneers Outkast.
Of the Georgia-born duo, the Hall of Fame previously noted, “Their groundbreaking albums and chart-topping hits challenged industry norms and established the ‘Dirty South’ as a powerful creative force. Outkast’s impact is felt across generations—in the music of artists like Kendrick Lamar, Tyler, the Creator, Janelle Monáe, and the entire Atlanta scene they helped ignite.”
Additional inductees for this year’s ceremony include Bad Company, Joe Cocker, Cyndi Lauper, Soundgarden, The White Stripes, Salt-N-Pepa, Warren Zevon, Thom Bell, Nicky Hopkins, Carol Kaye, and Lenny Waronker.
The induction ceremony is scheduled for November 8 at the Peacock Theater. For fans eager to delve deeper into musical history, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland will open an exhibition on October 31.
This display will feature artifacts such as Andre 3000’s iconic “Hey Ya!” ensemble and Cyndi Lauper’s handwritten “Time After Time” lyrics, offering a tangible connection to the legends being celebrated.
