CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cleveland Division of Police have arrested several juveniles and identified a 20-year-old suspect in a string of stolen vehicle and car break-in operations across the city’s Second District between October 3 and October 7, 2025, according to multiple police press releases.
The enforcement actions stem from a continuing targeted initiative by Second District Detectives focusing on curbing a surge in vehicle thefts and break-ins throughout Cleveland’s west side. The operation has led to multiple arrests, recovered stolen vehicles, and an active investigation into a shooting connected to one of the incidents.
On October 3, detectives arrested two juveniles, aged 13 and 17, after officers located a stolen vehicle in a parking lot near West 73rd Street and Detroit Avenue. The car, reported stolen out of East Cleveland, was tracked by Flock cameras through the Ohio City and Gordon Square neighborhoods. When officers attempted a traffic stop, five individuals fled from the vehicle on foot. The two apprehended suspects were both charged with Receiving Stolen Property.
