SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The City of Sacramento is moving forward with plans for a new Safe Camping Site aimed at helping people experiencing homelessness in the River District. However, not everyone supports the plan, and some neighbors say they want more details from the city.
A small lot of land along Sequoia Pacific Boulevard is expected to become one of Sacramento’s Safe Camping Sites as soon as spring of next year. The site is just one piece of the city’s overall strategy to address homelessness.
