Austin startup develops drone system to respond to school threats before police arrive

TEXAS — A Central Texas company says it wants to change how schools respond to emergencies by sending drones toward potential attackers.

Campus Guardian Angel, co-founded by Navy SEAL veteran Bill King, is developing a drone-based system designed to buy law enforcement precious time during active shooter situations.

“I want to be able to not only buy that time, but I want to be able to degrade and try to incapacitate that person,” King said…
