Man arrested on Rio Mirada Dr on suspicion of possessing firearm

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man was arrested in north Bakersfield on Wednesday for allegedly possessing a firearm, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

On Oct. 8 at around 1:40 p.m., Bakersfield police officers responded to a report of a person with a firearm in the 3300 block of Rio Mirada Drive, according to police.

The suspect was identified as Timothy Ratliff, 46, who is a convicted felon and prohibited from owning a firearm.
