Say goodbye to Winn Dixie and hello to Aldi after grocery store takeover

ANOTHER Winn-Dixie is set to close in the US next month following the sale of hundreds of its stores to Aldi for conversion.

It is not known if the Winn-Dixie in Fultondale, Alabama, will be converted into an Aldi format, after Aldi announced plans to convert 220 Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarkets by 2027.

Aldi has already started the work on converting several Winn-Dixie stores in the US, including two in the state of Florida.
