CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – The Charleston Police Department has arrested a trio in connection with a series of vehicle break-ins and motor vehicle thefts in the West Ashley area.
Caleb Thomas Reser, 20, of Summerville, is charged with two counts of grand larceny ($10,000 or more) and one count of breaking into a motor vehicle. A 17-year-old male of Charleston is charged with two counts of grand larceny ($10,000 or more), breaking into a motor vehicle and petit larceny. Cherry Josephine Foy, 18, of Charleston, is charged with grand larceny ($10,000 or more).
Several callers reported a heavily damaged vehicle being driven through the Grand Oaks neighborhood during the overnight hours of Sept. 11. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a damaged Lincoln MKC abandoned on Ashley Garden Boulevard and determined that it had been stolen early that evening from North Woodmere Drive.
Police later located a license plate from inside the vehicle that was stolen from another vehicle on Hainesworth Drive…
