Driver killed in Ingham County semi-truck crash

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– A 48-year-old man from Owosso was killed after being thrown from his vehicle after colliding with a semi-truck in Ingham County Thursday morning.

The crash took place on Grand River Avenue between Grammer Road and Wallace Road.

One person killed in crash involving semi-truck

Investigators say the SUV, driven by the 48-year-old man, was driving eastbound on Grand River Avenue when his vehicle crossed over the center lane and hit a semi-truck traveling westbound.

Deputies say the 48-year-old driver of the SUV was not wearing his seatbelt and was thrown from his vehicle and died at the scene. The 66-year-old semi-truck driver from Fowlerville was not injured.

Deputies say Grand River Avenue is currently shut down as crews continue to work on the cleanup. The road is expected to open this afternoon…
