Horry County police investigate report of nearly 50 gunshots in Longs area

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A home and a vehicle were hit by bullets Tuesday night in the Longs area when someone reportedly sprayed the area with approximately 50 gunshots, according to an Horry County police report.

Officers were called at about 10:30 p.m. to the area of Pine Needle Drive and Freemont Road, the report said. Approximately four bullets pierced the siding of the home, while the rear glass of the vehicle at another residence was “completely shattered.”

Investigators collected nearly a dozen spent shell casings from the area as evidence, the report said. They also looked at surveillance video of the incident but could not identify the shooter because of its poor quality…
