GLOUCESTER COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — Gloucester County first responders had a unique challenge during their rescue Tuesday morming of a construction worker who fell through the floor while working at the historic White Marsh Plantation.
While the Gloucester Volunteer Fire Department has faced its share of challenging rescues, they haven’t often faced one like this.
“Yesterday morning, approximately 7 [a.m.], we had an incident that occurred at White Marsh Plantation. The individual was in an ice house, which was antique,” said Assistant Fire Chief W.L. Johnston. “It was as old as the plantation home itself.”…
