Family Demands Immediate Closure of Ride at Florida Theme Park

The family of Kevin Rodriguez Zavala, the 32-year-old man who died on a roller coaster at Universal Orlando Resort last month is speaking out after the ride reopened last weekend.

Rodriguez Zavala was found unresponsive at the end of a ride on the Stardust Racers coaster on Sept. 17. He was rushed to a local hospital and pronounced dead.

An autopsy concluded that Rodriguez Zavala, a “theme park freak” who was born with spinal cord atrophy, died from “multiple blunt impact” injuries. In the aftermath of his passing, Rodriguez Zavala’s family pleaded for answers, as well as increased safety protocols at the park…
