A coastal storm will shake up the weather by late weekend, bringing a few days with periods of rain, gusty northeast winds, and rough surf to southern New England from Sunday night through early Tuesday.

The strongest wind potential is along the coast, Cape Cod, and the Islands, where gusts could top 40 miles per hour. Rough seas may also lead to minor coastal flooding or beach erosion, especially around high tide Monday.
