A Central Texas suburb has extra to celebrate as the booming community will welcome its first-ever H-E-B later this month. The $26.1 million grocery store, which kicked off construction last fall, is the latest in a series of new and expanded storefronts across the greater Austin metro earmarked by H-E-B leaders.
H-E-B’s inaugural store in Manor will commemorate its grand opening on October 22, the company confirmed online. The location will feature a car wash and fuel station alongside its grocery offerings, as well as typical amenities like an H-E-B pharmacy and curbside pickup services.
It’s a project years in the making for Manor residents, with community members long calling on the San Antonio-based grocer to set up shop in town and alleviate limited grocery options for the East Austin suburb.
