Wings Over Houston faces major change, but offers big reassurance to fans

HOUSTON — Organizers of the 2025 Wings Over Houston Airshow say the show will continue as planned despite the ongoing federal government shutdown, though the situation could temporarily ground some of its biggest attractions.

In an update posted Wednesday, event officials confirmed that “the 2025 Wings Over Houston Airshow is a ‘GO!’” even as military and government aircraft may be unable to participate during the shutdown.

“All military and federal government assets, including ground display aircraft and military performers, will not attend the 2025 Wings Over Houston Airshow,” organizers said. “Assets include the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, NASA aircraft, and single-ship military demonstration teams.”
