A late-night food order gone awry at a North Side Whataburger escalated into a physical altercation resulting in the arrest of seven individuals, according to San Antonio police. The melee, which occurred in the 14600 block of Blanco Road, near West Bitters Road, broke out after an argument over mixed-up orders between two groups. The police were dispatched to the scene just after 3 a.m. Sunday following a call about an assault in progress.
Those arrested in connection with the brawl ranged in age from 21 to 57 years old, names released by the police included Andres Garcia Cardenas, 21; Tyrone Tolliver, 21; Miguel Torres, 57; Meili Torres, 21; Andrew Lopez, 21; Deontae Tolliver, 23; and Veronica Valdez, 53, as reported by KSAT. In the skirmish, no major injuries were reported, but those detained are expected to face charges for assault causing bodily injury, stated the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD). The other party involved was said to consist of two 18-year-olds, and two 20-year-olds.
A recording of the disturbance that has since been circulating across social media platforms depicts the Whataburger incident. It has been shared more than a thousand times on Facebook alone.
