Springfield’s rock station Q102.1 moves to new signal after 23 years

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — One of Springfield’s most recognized rock stations is getting a new home on the radio dial.

After more than two decades at 102.1 FM, Q102 is moving to 92.9 FM — a change that will expand the station’s reach across southwest Missouri. It is now known as Q92.9.

On Wednesday, Ozarks First News Anchor Jesse Inman spoke with radio DJ Mike “The Intern” Holmes about the move. Holmes is also the Content and Program Director helping oversee the operation. You can see their full conversation in the video above…
