SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A Pennington County jury has convicted Ezekiel Mayweather, 24, of aiding and abetting first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder in the death of Esther Wolfe.
Wolfe was shot once in the head and killed on Pine Street in February 2024. Prosecutors charged Mayweather with orchestrating the killing, claiming it was planned and motivated by Mayweather’s belief that Wolfe was involved in the death of Mayweather’s brother, Michael, in 2019. It was later ruled a suicide.

According to the Pennington County State’s Attorney’s Office, the trial lasted six days and had testimony from over 40 witnesses, supported by over 150 exhibits, which included video and photo evidence.
