EUGENE, Ore. – A Eugene man previously convicted in a fatal shooting at Fat Shack Burger Restaurant is set for a new trial after his conviction was overturned, according to documents filed in Lane County Circuit Court.
Court records show that Elijah Pruitt, who was serving a life sentence, was convicted in 2023 of second-degree murder, assault, and weapon charges. The incident occurred during an altercation with a customer at the restaurant near the University of Oregon, according to court documents.
