OLD FORT, N.C. (WLOS) — Appalachian Mountain Brewery owners Nathan Kelischek and Chris Zieber are excited to open their newest establishment, and it’s a combination of several things for WNC beer and food lovers.
On Oct. 10, Kelischek and Zieber will hold a grand opening for their newest venture: Modern Alchemist Co. at 78A Catawba Avenue in Old Fort. According to a news release, Modern Alchemist Co. is part distillery, part brewery, part restaurant and part cannabis bar, offering house-distilled spirits, beer, THC/CBD beverages and handcrafted mocktails under one roof— paired with a full-service Latin-inspired menu of tacos, tortas and bowls.
“We’ve always believed great experiences shouldn’t only exist in cities,” Kelischek said in the release. “From Boone to Mills River to now Old Fort, our mission has been to bring high-quality, detail-driven across Western North Carolina.”…
