Kaleida Health’s Family Planning Center to close later this year

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Family Planning Center in Buffalo is slated to close its doors later this year pending approval by the New York State Department of Health, according to a spokesperson with Kaleida Health.

The healthcare network cited federal funding cuts, rising costs, and staffing shortages as reasons for the closure. Kaleida Health said they expect more uncompensated care costs due to recent Medicaid cuts in President Trump’s Big, Beautiful Bill.
