Myrtle Beach Jewish community celebrates peace deal during Sukkot holiday

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — The Chabad Community Center in Myrtle Beach was filled with joy as the local Jewish community celebrated Sukkot, a week-long holiday of rejoicing.

Rabbi Doron Aizenman expressed the significance of the timing, saying, “During this holiday we have a big reason to rejoice, because the news from Israel are really life-altering. We’ve been waiting for it for over two years, to make peace, to have the kidnapped come back home, and hopefully it’s going to happen in these days.”

The announcement of the peace deal, which coincided with the holiday, was particularly meaningful for the community, who have been praying daily for the release of hostages…
