Rhode Island man held on bail in Fall River Superior Court after reported armed robbery on Route 6

A Rhode Island man is being held on bail after alleged crimes committed on the South Coast.

According to police, at just after 6:15 p.m. on July 18th, Dartmouth Police responded to a report of an armed robbery at King Smoke Shop located at 255 State Road (Route 6).

The suspect, identified as 40-year-old Muhammad Sheikh of Woonsocket, RI, allegedly entered the business, and brandished a knife. Sheikh threatened several employees with the weapon, making verbal threats to kill them while slashing the knife toward them. Sheikh then removed the cash register, which contained approximately $700, from the counter before fleeing the scene in a gray 2025 Honda Civic, later determined to be registered to Sheikh…
