A Humboldt woman was transported to the Iowa Women’s prison in Mitchellville on Tuesday and turned over the Iowa Department of Corrections after her arrest last spring by Humboldt County authorities. 52-year-old Libby Palmer was arrested and charged with crimes relating to lack of care provided to two dependent people in her care. On May 2nd of this year, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office was called to assist the Humboldt Ambulance with a call to a residence in Humboldt. Authorities had concerns about the living conditions of the residence and believed dependent people at the residence were being neglected.
