Brown County Job Center opens in downtown library, offering more employment resources

GREEN BAY, Wis. — To help better reach people seeking work, the Brown County Job Center recently opened in a new location inside Brown County’s central library.

It’s a move Kate Owens with the Bay Area Workforce Development Board said is aimed at bringing resources to the community.

“You’re now able to look into the community and say, ‘I know where I can go to find help,’” she said. “In the past we’ve kind of expected them to come to us. The change has to be us reaching out to the individuals and going to where the individuals who need the jobs are.”…
