New data shows Arkansas has the 4th-highest rate of opioid use disorder diagnoses in U.S.

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Arkansas continues to grapple with the effects of the opioid epidemic. New data shows an upward trend in the number of people diagnosed with opioid use disorder, or OUD, making Arkansas the fourth highest state with OUDs.

Channel 7 spoke to one woman who’s beaten addiction and is now helping others on their way to recovery in this harsh time.

“I started partying in high school, and right around senior year is when I started doing opiates, and it just kind of picked up from there.”…
