More than 24,000 Arkansans have registered for International ShakeOut Day on Oct. 16, when participants will practice earthquake safety drills at 10:17 a.m.
The annual exercise teaches the essential earthquake response: Drop, Cover, and Hold On. Participants will join 1.4 million people across the Central United States and 16.3 million worldwide in the preparedness drill.
