LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — Upcoming millage renewal elections urges voters to support critical local services this Saturday in Lafayette.
The elections, scheduled for Oct. 11 will determine funding for the Bayou Vermilion District and the Lafayette Parish School System.
On the ballot, voters will determine whether the Bayou Vermilion District will renew a tax of 0.75 mills. If passed, an estimated $2,138,000 will be collected each year for 10 years, beginning in 2027 and ending in 2036 to maintain their current budget…
