COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Colorado Springs Mayor Yemi Mobolade says he intends to run for another term. The 42nd mayor was sworn in June 6, 2023 as the first elected Black mayor of Colorado Springs, as well as the first immigrant mayor of the city.
KKTV had a one-on-one interview with Mayor Mobolade this week. When asked about his future, he said he doesn’t see any other political office in his sights.
“I can tell you that I do plan to run again for a second term,” said Mayor Yemi Mobolade. “These days I’m just taking it one day, one month, one year at a time, and focus on what’s in front of me. So, I want to finish strong, and then flip the page, and run again to have more runway to complete the good work that my team and I are doing.”…
