Gainesville man arrested twice in Habitat for Humanity theft case

HALL COUNTY, Ga. — The Hall County Sheriff’s Office says a Gainesville man has been arrested for a second time in connection with thefts from the Habitat for Humanity of Hall County ReStore.

Deputies arrested 43-year-old Richard Trent Parker, a former ReStore employee, after investigators uncovered additional evidence in the case.

Parker was first arrested on February 12, 2025, on a felony charge of theft by conversion. According to investigators, he took nearly $10,000 from daily cash receipts between January 1 and February 11, 2025, and used the money for personal expenses.
