DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A Georgia man facing two counts of reckless homicide in a crash that killed a North Carolina couple in Darlington County is a U.S. Army specialist stationed at Fort Bragg, a military spokesman said.
Spc. Daryl Causey, a drone operator, was arrested on Tuesday in connection with the three-vehicle Jan. 8 crash on Highway 52 near Horse Branch Trail. William Tyler Nichols, 31, and his wife, Christie Thomas Nichols, 30, died in the crash, which also injured four other people, including a passenger in Causey’s car.
