Naples Area Swifties Drawn to Life of a Showgirl

When the clock struck midnight on Friday, Oct. 3, Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl debuted on music streaming services, and fans eagerly stayed up late to listen to the pop superstar’s 12th studio album. Later that day and throughout the weekend, local Swifties packed theaters for The Official Release Party of a Showgirl—a three-day celebration featuring exclusive music videos, behind-the-scenes footage and Swift’s own reflections on her creative journey.

At Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Naples, the party was in full swing. Moviegoers were treated to red, heart-shaped sunglasses from Swift’s “22” music video; disco balls commemorating “Mirrorball” from her eighth studio album Folklore; and friendship bracelets inspired by “You’re on Your Own, Kid” from the Midnights album. The theater even crafted a dazzling cocktail menu with drinks like The Lovers Flame, Bubbles & Lights and The Shimmer Shine, embellished with edible glitter.

Regal Naples rolled out the red carpet for Swift’s devoted fans. Assistant Manager Salvador Castillo captured the spirit: “This event connects us to the Taylor Swift community.
