ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A man accused of a deadly stabbing at a gas station on Portland Avenue was in court on Friday morning for an arraignment.
Antonio McKnight answered to his second-degree murder charge in Monroe County Court. He’s accused of stabbing Laverne Singletary, 59, in the chest at least once with a screwdriver the morning of Monday, Sept. 22. Singletary died at the hospital. Rochester Police arrested McKnight on the same day.
The judge set McKnight’s bail at $1 million, said Assistant District Attorney Jonathan Jirik. He said the DA’s office has been in contact with the family…
