LA MESA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A mother with a child who was making threats to officers was detained after an hours-long SWAT standoff in La Mesa, authorities said.
Around 1 p.m., authorities received a call for a check up on a one-month-old who was being neglected or abused in the 7500 block of Seton Hall Street, according to Cpt. Katy Lynch with the La Mesa Police Department.
Authorities learned the mother of the baby, who is in a bad mental health crisis, was inside the home with the baby.
