A Camillus man is facing felony drug and weapons charges after deputies say they found cocaine and illegal knives during an investigation at a business in the Town of Fleming.
According to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, 55-year-old Peter J. Day was arrested on September 29 following a suspicious incident complaint that led to a search warrant.
Deputies find cocaine, switchblade, and knuckle knife
Deputies responded to the scene around 2:56 p.m. and began investigating. A search warrant was executed shortly after, which turned up 6.8 grams of cocaine, a switchblade knife, and a metal knuckle knife.
Day was charged with:
- Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 4th degree (felony)
- Two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the 3rd degree (felonies)
He was processed at the Cayuga County Public Safety Building and arraigned in CAP Court, where he was released on his own recognizance. Day is scheduled to appear in Fleming Town Court on October 14 at 4:30 p.m…
