40 Lincoln businesses ticketed for selling tobacco to minors, LPD reports

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Several businesses were cited over the summer for selling tobacco to minors, the Lincoln Police Department says.

On Friday, LPD released the results from its alcohol and tobacco compliance project, which ran from July to September.

During the project, LPD assigned undercover officers to work overtime on days, nights and weekends to combat “the ongoing problem” of selling alcohol and tobacco to minors…
