Man arrested in connection with North Claiborne Avenue homicide case

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A man is in custody in connection with the Sept. 26 homicide in the 1500 block of North Claiborne Avenue.

Through the New Orleans Police Department investigation, detectives identified Aaron Christopher Bierria, 42, as the alleged suspect in the shooting that occurred in the 1500 block of North Claiborne Avenue. United States Marshals arrested him in Westwego Friday morning.

French Quarter carjacking leaves one dead: NOPD

On Sept. 26 around 6:15 p.m., Bierria was arguing with another man and allegedly pulled out a weapon and fired a shot toward him, which killed him. Bierria fled the scene, according to the NOPD.
