Troy police investigate Amanda King case at Burden Pond

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Troy Police Department detectives continued their investigation into the disappearance of Amanda King at Burden Pond on Friday. Police told NEWS10 that it was a non-emergency investigation into new evidence or leads.

Skeletal remains were discovered on October 23, 2024, near Burden Pond in Troy and identified as King’s on November 21 through dental records and DNA comparison. King was first reported missing from Glenville in November 2013.

King was laid to rest in a private burial last November. Anyone with information about King’s disappearance is encouraged to call detectives with the Troy Police Department at (518) 270-4426.
