BURNSVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — More than a year after Helene, two adults and one child in Yancey County have yet to be found, according to the county’s EMS director, Brandon Price.
Two of those missing people are 13-year-old Yevheni and his grandmother Tatiana. The third is Lenny Lewandowski of Green Mountain.
According to family members, Yevheni came to Yancey County with his parents, fleeing war-torn Ukraine to be closer to his mother’s sister, who moved to Yancey County with her husband. Yevheni’s grandmother, Tatiana, is also from Ukraine. She, too, remains unaccounted for…
