D4vd Reportedly Transfers Houston Properties Amid Investigation into Teen’s Death

R&B singer D4vd is reportedly taking steps to divest himself of real estate holdings in Texas, a move that comes amidst an ongoing Los Angeles Police Department investigation into the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas. Rivas’s body was discovered last month in the musician’s abandoned Tesla in Hollywood.

According to reports, the 20-year-old singer, whose real name is David Burke, has transferred the deeds of two homes in the Houston area to his mother. His mother reportedly already resided in one of the properties with other family members. These transfers were allegedly made under the “Thorn Rose Trust,” a name seemingly inspired by D4vd’s 2023 EP, “Petals to Thorns.”

Real estate documents indicate that the first property transfer occurred on September 18, just one day after police initiated a search of D4vd’s Hollywood rental home, located near where Rivas’s body was found. Rivas was discovered in an advanced state of decomposition in the back of the vehicle after authorities responded to a call about a foul odor emanating from the car.

The LAPD’s probe has included clearing out the singer’s mansion in search of more information. A neighbor, who spoke to The Sun, claimed to have frequently seen Celeste at the property with D4vd.

“I’d be in my car and we’d acknowledge each other, say hi, that was about it, when they were heading to the store or wherever,” the neighbor recalled, adding, “I last saw them a couple of months ago, I’m not sure, but I thought they were just kids, like a couple [aged] 18/19.” Multiple sources and friends of the singer have also reportedly stated they were under the impression that D4vd and Celeste were in a relationship, having seen them together at parties and social gatherings.

Despite these claims, D4vd has not been charged in connection with any crimes, nor has he publicly confirmed or denied any relationship with Celeste Rivas. The Los Angeles Police Department has also not announced any arrests or named any suspects in the ongoing investigation.

Authorities continue to seek answers regarding the circumstances of Rivas’s death. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office has listed her cause of death as “deferred,” indicating that additional testing and investigation are required before a definitive conclusion can be reached.

A representative for D4vd was reportedly reached out to for comment by The Mirror US.
