BALTIMORE, Md. (WBFF) — The Loyola University student depicted in a viral video that led to a bouncer’s arrest is suing the security guard, his employer and the Federal Hill bar where the brawl occurred.
The lawsuit, filed Thursday in Baltimore Circuit Court, seeks damages for “permanent and debilitating” injuries that the student suffered, including a “traumatic injury to the brain.” It claims that the bouncer gave the student a “severe” concussion by slamming his head through a parked car window.
The litigation follows criminal charges against the part-time bouncer, Kevin Weaver, who remains jailed pending trial. Weaver, 41, turned himself in Oct. 1 after Baltimore Police launched an investigation in response to the Sept. 27 video.
