Woman accused of firing gun in Orange County road rage incident charged with felony, deputies say

EFLAND, N.C. (WNCN) — The woman accused of firing gunshots during a road rage incident in Orange County earlier this week was arrested Thursday on a felony charge, deputies said.

The incident happened on Sunday around 9:20 p.m. in Efland on Lebanon Road near Efland Grove Center Road. A woman driving with her teenage son told deputies that another vehicle drove aggressively and passed them in a no-passing zone.

The woman said she and the other vehicle came to a stop sign when the other vehicle’s passenger, 36-year-old Samantha Russo of Efland, got out and pointed a gun at her and her son. After returning to her vehicle, Russo fired two shots in the air while leaving the scene…
