Food Lion helps Myrtle Beach food pantry amid rising needs

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) — As the federal government shutdown continues and grocery prices remain high, food banks across the Grand Strand say the need for assistance has never been greater.

Helping Hand of Myrtle Beach said the number of families seeking food assistance has nearly doubled in the past year.
